Arizona was the site of many a battle, one of the few that made history was the Battle of Picacho Pass. Walk with our rangers through our memorial loop and learn about that fateful day. Learn about the history of the westernmost civil war battle, the who, what, where, why, and how it affected Arizona’s path to statehood. Bring your curiosity, water, and good walking shoes for this short walk through history.
Those who are interested in the history of this battle will meet in the Memorial Loop parking lot. This program lasts approximately 45 minutes. There will be a short hike involved so please wear appropriate footwear and a hat, and bring water!
