Arizona was the site of many battles, one of the lesser known events was the Battle of Picacho Pass. Join a ranger at our memorial loop to learn about that fateful day. Learn about the history of the westernmost civil war battle, the who, what, when, where, why, and how it affected Arizona’s path to statehood. Bring your curiosity and some water as we discuss Picacho Peak as a monument to history.
Those who are interested in the history of this battle will meet in the Memorial Loop parking lot. This program lasts approximately 45 minutes. Please wear appropriate footwear and a hat, and bring water!
