Have you ever driven down I10 and wondered how that odd looking peak came to be? Or just wanted to step back millions of years in the past to see what this area was like? Well, join a park ranger on a hike through the dramatic volcanic landscape of Picacho Peak State Park! From volcanic activity millions of years ago to erosion from today's monsoons, our guided hike along the Calloway Trail will give visitors insight into the formation of one of Arizona’s most iconic peaks!
Meeting point: Hunter Trailhead - 1 1/2 hour hike.
