Please note, the interior area of the cave is not available for private functions. Cave tour reservations are separate from all group use bookings.

Kartchner Caverns State Park is one of many Arizona State Parks that can host your special day and is perfect for those seeking a romantic location or a casual ceremony, and an affordable outdoor setting. Steps to reserving your wedding date with us:

1. Download and review the Wedding Packet and Event Pre-Application form (linked below)
2. Contact the park at (520) 586-4100 or kartchner.reservations@azstateparks.gov for availability
3. Fill out the Event Pre-Application form digitally or print and scan it. Email your completed form to your park wedding contact
4. On the phone with your park wedding contact, determine final facility and rental needs, and calculate total fees. Arrange for deposit and fee payments to finalize your reservation. Your reservation is not complete until payment is received at the park.
5. Prepare for your special day!

Group Day Use

Amphitheater

This outdoor area offers fixed seating with a raised platform stage area and a backdrop of the cave hill and Whetstone Mountains. The raised platform has electrical outlets. The amphitheater is available year-round, but please note that the average outdoor temperatures fluctuate seasonally.

Capacity: 200-250 people
Cost: $225-$1,025

Group Day Use Ramada

The group day use area is located at the northwest corner of the main parking lot. The area features three covered ramadas, 18 picnic tables with one handicapped accessible table, water faucets and drinking fountains, 110 electrical outlets and lighting, waste receptacles, and an area for a band and dancing. Optional use of a large covered gas grill and built-in counter is available for an additional fee. The Group Day Use Ramada can accommodate 50-100 more than its standard capacity if utilizing the uncovered gravel area on the north side–no additional charge will be assessed.

Cost: $250-$1,325

Small Picnic Areas

The park offers eight small picnic areas for day use. Each has a 20x20 shade ramada with a picnic table, small grill, and lighting.

Capacity: 10 people each
Cost: $35 for half-day use each

Group Camping

Dry camping tent sites with a large central ramada are available. The ramada has lights and electricity. Parking is available at the group use area.

Capacity: 50 people
Cost: $175-$275

Fees and Conditions

Catering must be arranged through the park concessionaire, Aramark, or you can receive permission from Aramark to arrange your own catering. Aramark's phone number is 520-586-4166.

Please leave the group day use Area in the same condition that it was found. Please clean the grill (if used) and place waste in receptacles. A refundable cleaning/damage deposit of $150.00 (which includes the Amphitheater area if used) is required when reserving.

Event Rental Fees

A deposit is required to reserve your date; payment in full must be received no later than 30 days prior to your event. Fees are on a per-day basis. If not received 30 days prior to the event, your booking will be cancelled and deposit returned.

Payment with cash, Visa or Mastercard is accepted at the front desk of the Discovery Center. Personal checks are not accepted for payment. Reservation fees apply to the rental of the group day use area only; all other per-vehicle day use, camping, and tour fees are additional.
