Roper Lake Weekly Pack Walk

Roper Lake State Park

Saturdays through January   10-11 a.m.

Recurring volunteer-led dog walk in the park. Responsible pet owners will walk as a group through the park in this pack walk, exploring the sights, sounds and smells of the park with their pets. All dogs must be on a leash for this event.

Plus, take the opportunity to get your dog involved in the Arizona State Parks and Trails BARK Ranger program!

This program allows responsible, well-behaved dogs to pledge to do their part to keep the parks in better condition than they found it. Once you've decided to be a Bark Ranger, stop by the visitor center of participating parks to pick up your Bark Ranger booklet and take the pledge! Here are the Bark Ranger rules:

  1. Bag Your Poop: carry bags to collect and dispose of pet waste properly.
  2. Always Wear a Leash: stay together, tethered by a 6-foot or shorter leash at all times.
  3. Respect Wildlife: leave wild animals alone and stay quiet and polite on trails.
  4. Know Your Boundaries: check that dogs are allowed in the park, on the trails, and in the camping spots before we travel.
