This special lecture for the Flagstaff Festival of Science is presented by historian Roy May. Roy will tell the story of the 1889 C. Hart Merriam expedition, its origin, and importance. Merriam developed the Life Zone concept as a means of describing areas with similar plant and animal communities, which helped shape founding principles of ecology.
