The park will be operating with limited services during our annual shutdown week from September 14–18. While our campground and hiking trails will remain open to visitors, the Discovery Center and cave tours will be unavailable.
The cafe and the gift shop will be closed until further notice.

Bat Fest
Kartchner Caverns State Park

Join park rangers, partners and vendors in the Discovery Center for this celebration of our flying friends! Learn about the importance of bats, the role they play in the natural world, and the work being done to support them here in Arizona.
Enjoy arts and crafts, live bat ambassadors, children's activities, book readings, costume contests, and educational presentations from local bat experts.

Kartchner Caverns invites you to join us for a nighttime walk in the park to learn about bats! Guests will see and hear bats interacting within their natural environment while learning about the diversity of these awesome flying mammals. Registration required.
