Native Plant Walks at Catalina State Park

Catalina State Park

Thursdays, Mar. 20 | Mar. 27 | Apr. 3, 2025   7:30 a.m.

Join an Arizona Native Plant Society guided tour through the Upland Desert and Riparian plant communities along the Canyon Loop trail. The desert in late winter and early spring is a great time to learn about key desert plants, including trees, grasses, and cacti. Even in this very dry spring, we will see a surprising surge of plant growth. Besides the plants, we will learn about geology and critters great and small.

This program lasts approximately 3 hours. The program is free but park entry fees apply. Meet at the Trailhead kiosk near the cactus tile mosaic.
