How were the majestic Santa Catalina Mountains formed? What are the rocks we see all over the park? Join experienced geologist Karen to learn about the fascinating geologic history of the Catalinas. This program lasts around 3-4 hours, begins with a geology presentation, and includes a guided walk. Meet at the Picnic Area Ramada.

Join our local interpretive guides for a hike to the Romero Ruins. With this program, you'll walk through one thousand years of Hohokam history in 90 minutes.

Join one of our park volunteers to explore the history of Catalina State Park and its surroundings from the 1850s to today, and get a sneak peek of exciting upgrades planned.
