Catalina State Park
Second and fourth Monday of the month 10 a.m.
Join one of our park volunteers to explore the history of Catalina State Park and its surroundings from the 1850s to today. Take a “behind the scenes” look at today’s operations and get a “sneak peek” of exciting new upgrades coming to the park.
Meet at the Bobcat Amphitheater. There is no cost to attend this program but standard park entry fees apply.

Wednesday Guided Bird Walk at Catalina
Both novice and seasoned birders enjoy the variety of birds that visit and live in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
First and Third Friday of the Month
Witness Catalina State Park’s nocturnal wildlife and stargaze on a one-mile, guided night hike on the Nature Trail. You’ll learn fun facts about the Sonoran Desert’s nocturnal animals like scorpions, coyotes, and bats. When the stars come out, experience a guided constellation tour featuring a variety of cultures and astronomy facts.
Catalina State Park Nature Program
Learn about and see many reptiles that live naturally in the Sonoran Desert. Listen to our experts talk about the creatures and their adaptions to survive in the desert.
