Join us for a magical Valentine's Day filled with music and stars at Oracle State Park, an official International Dark Sky Park!

We will kick off the evening with music on the ranch house patio from 6:00-7:00 p.m. with Wendy Sweet (singer/entertainer) and Chuck Sweet (roadie/sound engineer). With a 25 year career as a radio personality, Wendy is very much at home behind a microphone.  She has performed as a professional singer for over 35 years at a variety of venues, including the finest resorts in Sedona and Tucson. She has sung the National Anthem numerous times for audiences of up to 14,000 people, and currently entertains at private parties, conventions, benefits, service clubs, community events, retirement communities, and state parks.

From 7:00-9:00 p.m., the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association (TAAA) will guide you through the night sky with several telescopes set up just outside the ranch house. View planets, stars, and deep space objects through high-powered telescopes and learn from knowledgeable, local astronomers.

Bring folding chairs if you'd like a guaranteed seat—patio space is limited and fills up quickly.

This star party is free with regular day-use admission or an annual state parks pass, and does not require registration.

Questions? Call the park at 520-896-2425 or email Ranger Michael at mbain@azstateparks.gov.

We would LOVE to see you there!
