History Hike at Oracle State Park
Oracle State Park
Sunday, February 8, 2026 1-2:30 p.m.
Want to dive deeper into the life and work of the Kannally family? Hear stories about the family, how they grew their ranch to 50,000 acres, and how the ranch eventually became Oracle State Park. This program will combine both a tour of the Kannally Ranch house and a hike to see some of the historic ranching structures still standing around the park.
The hike will take place along the 0.5 mile Kannally Ranch Interpretive Trail and includes around 100 ft. of elevation gain. Please expect some uneven terrain and a short section in a wash. We encourage you to wear hiking shoes, bring water, and apply sun protection.
Meet at the Kannally Ranch House. This program is free with regular day-use admission or an annual state parks pass.
This event is part of Outdoors250, a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and Arizona’s natural heritage. By participating in this event, you can enter to win Outdoors250 prizes by signing up at AZStateParks.com/Outdoors250.
