Birding Meet-Up at Ranch House Patio
Oracle State Park
Saturdays, Oct 11 | Oct 18 8 am - 10 am
Join us for one of our Birds on the Patio meet ups at Oracle State Park! Stop by the patio at the historic Kannally Ranch House and talk to one of our helpful volunteers who can provide the following:
● Tips on getting started with the Merlin Bird ID App
● Recent bird sightings in the area
● Information about the park
● A free Oracle State Park bird ID pamphlet you can take with you
Once you are set up with the Merlin app, feel free to stay and enjoy the dozens of bird species that frequent the park and patio. We have several feeders set up that attract a variety of birds. Picnic tables will be available if you’d like to bring coffee and something to eat as you take in the view.
We recommend downloading the Merlin app on your phone before you arrive, and bringing binoculars if you have them. This is a wonderful opportunity to relax on the patio while watching the birds with our park volunteers and visitors. You do not need to register for this event - just pay our day-use fee or display your annual state parks pass on your vehicle.
Any questions? Call the park at (520) 896-2425 or email Ranger Michael at mbain@azstateparks.gov.
