Cooler weather is on the horizon! Join us at the Lost Dutchman State Park for the Fall BioBlitz! Dust off those hiking boots, grab a phone and water, and let's get identifying!
The Fall BioBlitz is an event through iNaturalist and the Seek app where participants will identify as many park species as possible in the given time frame (7:00 AM - 9:00 AM). Every living thing counts (plants, insects, reptiles, mammals, birds, etc.) towards the event. A bioblitz has many purposes, including scientific research, education, awareness, and building community.
This event will take place on September 19, 2026 at 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Participants will use the Seek app on their smart phone to add as many park species as they can to iNaturalist. Please come with Seek and iNaturalist set up to save time for identifying. Other supplies to bring can include good shoes, a hat, and water. The Fall BioBlitz is a family-friendly event, everyone is welcome!

The event is to take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 7 AM to 9 AM at the Palo Verde Ramada. Visitors will need to have Seek and iNaturalist set up before coming to save time (and our phone signal is unpredictable).
