Owl Walks at Catalina State Park

Catalina State Park

Thursday, April 16 | Monday, April 20, 2026   7:30-9:30 p.m.

A juvenile owl fledging from a tree.

As darkness falls, owls take flight during the cool evening hours to hunt. On this walk, learn about owls and hopefully see one in person! Please bring a flashlight and consider downloading an app like Merlin Bird ID to identify birds by sound.

Limited to 20 people: registration is required. Please sign up at https://azstateparks.com/reserve/Activities/Search.aspx (filter Place by Catalina State Park).

The program is free but park entry fees apply. Meet at the Trailhead Picnic Area.

This event is part of Outdoors250, a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and Arizona’s natural heritage. By participating in this event, you can enter to win Outdoors250 prizes by signing up at AZStateParks.com/Outdoors250.
