RV and Tent Camping
Wake up to a gentle desert breeze and the soothing sound of an ancient river…Campsites at Buckskin Mountain State Park give visitors the entire Colorado River experience, right down to the relaxing views and generally laid-back atmosphere of this gorgeous desert park. Desert wildlife and interesting native plants, can be seen from the scenic area trails begging to be explored. Campsite reservations are available online or by calling our friendly folks at the Arizona State Parks Reservations Desk at 1-877-MY PARKS (697-2757). You can call seven days a week, from8 a.m. to 5 p.m. MST. There is a $3.20 non-refundable reservation fee per site.
There are 80 camping and RV sites available at the park within reasonable proximity of the famed Colorado River, some very close to the water's edge. The RV and Tent sites have water and 30 amp electric available and an additional 15 sites have sewer available. All sites contain a BBQ grill and picnic table to help accentuate your Colorado River camping experience. All sites have a fire ring. There is no limit to maximum RV length at these sites.
River Front sites overlooking the Colorado River and are a perfect way for tent campers to enjoy the water. There is a 14-night stay limit. All sites have a BBQ grill and picnic table. April 1 through Sept. 30, there is a two night minimum stay for weekend camping: you must reserve both Friday and Saturday night.
For Memorial Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend and Columbus Day Weekend, there is a three night minimum stay for holiday weekend camping: you must reserve Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
Free high-speed WiFi internet access is available at the group ramada. No credit card is required. No password is required at this time.
There is a $15.00 per night fee for second vehicles. Fee will be paid upon arrival at the park. Fee does not apply to vehicles towed behind a primary vehicle when the primary vehicle remains at the site and the towed vehicle is used for transportation.
Upon arrival, the reserved site must be occupied for the first night. If you would like to move to a different campsite, please check at the Ranger Station for availability. Occupying or "holding" other unreserved vacant sites is against park rules, simply check for availability to avoid problems.
Check-in time is 2 p.m. Arriving earlier than 2 p.m. does not guarantee the sites’ availability. Check-out time is 12 noon on the scheduled departure date.
Campers arriving before 12 noon on the day of arrival will be charged the park entrance fee.
