The park will not be offering apple picking for the fall 2026 season.
No walk-ins, drop-offs or bicycle entries permitted: admission only by vehicle via the entry station.

Do you have a favorite memory or a scenic moment captured in a photograph at Slide Rock State Park? Submit it to the Slide Rock State Park photo contest!
This September, we’re inviting photographers of all levels to enter by September 30, 2026. Whether it’s a breathtaking landscape, a moment of family fun, or an incredible wildlife encounter, we can’t wait to celebrate your connection to this special place.
How to Participate
It’s simple to enter! You are welcome to submit up to three of your best photographs total, choosing from our three contest categories: Landscapes, Family Fun, and Wildlife.
- When: Submissions are open from September 1–30, 2026. Winners will be contacted via email and announced on October 10, 2026.
- Requirements: Please ensure your photos were captured within the official boundaries of Slide Rock State Park. Photos taken in other areas of Oak Creek Canyon outside of Slide Rock State Park will not be eligible. Photos that have been enhanced with AI and images with signatures/watermarks will be disqualified.
- Prizes: Winning photos will be featured right here on our website. First-place winners in each category will also receive a day-use pass valid at any Arizona State Park and be featured on the park's social media, and second-place winners will receive exclusive merchandise from the Slide Rock Market!
