Artists of all skill levels are invited to paint plein air (painting outdoors) around the grounds of the Riordan Mansion. Visitors can enjoy the opportunity to see the artists at work and perhaps try their hand with some watercolors thanks to support of Riordan Action Network. Free with paid park admission. Riordan Mansion Lunchtime Lecture: Kate Cory - Arizona's Pioneer Artist
Experience hearing from Territorial Pioneer Kate T. Cory in full costume as she shares her journey from "Gilded Age" NYC to the Mesas of the Hopi. Brenda Cusick will reveal details of Cory's life. Kate’s art was commissioned by the Santa Fe Railroad, the Department of the Interior and her work is in the Smithsonian and Museum of Northern Arizona collections.
