Cactus Walk at Oracle
Oracle State Park
Saturday, April 4, 2026 9:30-11 a.m.
Step into the desert’s hidden story on our guided interpretive cactus walk along the 1.2-mile Nature Trail. This immersive experience brings the landscape to life as you learn how cacti and other desert plants survive, adapt, and thrive in harsh conditions. Along the way, our knowledgeable ranger will share fascinating insights, biological background, and surprising relationships between the native species.
Perfect for all ages, this walk blends light adventure with engaging education in a beautiful natural setting. Come discover the desert in a whole new way—one step at a time.
Note: Depending on heat, the hike may be switched to a more presentation-style program in the Kannally Ranch House.
