Slide Rock State Park

Saturday, October 5, 2019   9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Come celebrate the fall in beautiful Oak Creek Canyon at the Slide Rock State Park Fall Festival. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day with exhibits and demonstrations, wild plants of Slide Rock State Park, kid’s activities at the Junior Ranger Station, tractors and flywheelers.

Experience the park with family-friendly activities and gorgeous views at the apple orchard. The event begins at 9 a.m. and will be packed with fun until 3 p.m. Southwest Monarch Study, Oak Creek Apple Company, beekeepers, blacksmiths, Arizona Flywheeler’s antique engines and tractors, the Sedona Arts Center, and more are joining us to make Fall Fest unforgettable. Smokey Bear from the U.S. Forest Service and Rocky Ringtail of Arizona State Parks & Trails will also be in attendance, meeting with kids and enjoying the day.

Slide Rock State Park began as a working apple orchard. Today, its agricultural legacy continues. The orchard is still a working commercial apple ranch that features an original vintage 30-foot-long apple sorting machine reconstructed by volunteers, still in the historic Pendley apple shed. $20 per vehicle.
