Alamo Lake State Park Hosts 12th Annual Night Under the Stars
October 29, 2018
Alamo Lake, a dark sky park, lies 40 miles from the nearest city, making it easy to see all the incredible stars and planets above! Astronomers from across the state will be in attendance with specialty telescopes of all varieties. You can get the best views of the sky and learn about the galaxy alongside friends, family, and experts!
This is a great event for photographers as well, with a chance to practice astrophotography and capture some incredible shots of the night sky! Visitors can attend anytime during the event, or make a weekend of it and reserve a campsite or stay in one of the cozy camping cabins!
The event is included with park admission of $7.00 per vehicle (camping requires additional fee). Bring a red LED flashlight or purchase one at the park for a small donation. No flash photography allowed.
