Scorpion glowing blue in ultraviolet light - Text says 'Scorpion Hike, June 6th, 7:15-9:15 p.m.

Join us at Oracle State Park for an exciting evening searching for and learning about scorpions! This 2 hour event will take place on Bellota Trail and Kannally Wash, where we will discuss interesting information about scorpions, including their food sources and ecosystems. We will also talk about methods to naturally keep these little critters away from your home and other structures. As we hike the trail, we will keep an eye out and stop along the way to watch the scorpions glow under our black lights!

Please meet at the Group Use parking lot before 7:15pm, and be prepared to hike roughly one mile on rocky and sandy terrain with elevation changes. We recommend bringing hiking shoes, plenty of water, and a black light. Keep in mind that this program will start around sunset and end in the dark. If weather conditions cause a cancellation, we will notify everyone who has signed up. This event is free with regular park admission. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Registration required - call the park at 520-896-2425 or register online here: https://azstateparks.com/reserve/Activities/Search.aspx
