Guided Bird Walk

at Oracle State Park

April 5, 2017   7am

Bird the park on a crowd-free weekday! At 4,335 feet elevation, the park temperature should be ideal as spring replaces winter, and we’re hoping to see migrants as well as the usual suspects. We’ll be looking for both Scott’s Orioles, as well as other surprises, and the park’s many hummingbird feeders should be productive. This is an easy, mostly level 2-hour ramble over less than a mile of trail around the Kannally Ranch House, where we will also bird the gardens and patios.

Optional ranch house tour available after the walk. Ideal for seniors and beginners as well as anyone else interested in birding this rich area. Limited to 14 participants. Meet at the SaddleBrooke Minit-Mart parking area at 7:00am, with an option to join the group at the park.

Complete details will be emailed to participants, and pre-trip email registration is required to join. Contact Leaders Bob and Prudy Bowers to register or with questions at bobandpru@aol.com. Free with park admission of $7 per vehicle.
