Most reptiles and amphibians of the desert are misunderstood because they are either rare, or rarely encountered in the wild. Their special adaptions to the desert that ensure survival are an interesting part of the biological importance of this interesting and diverse biome. Our staff will educate participants about some of the 41 most commonly encountered reptiles and amphibians of the Sonoran Desert. Please meet in the Palo Verde area of the park.
