Getting To Know the Birds Around You
Lost Dutchman State Park
Wednesday, October 18, 2017 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
At Saguaro Day Use
Meet in the Saguaro Day Use area to discuss how to distinguish between birds, then seek out resident birds from hawks to hummingbirds and any late migrants on their way south. After birding the Saguaro Day use area, we’ll look for birds walking up Jacob’s Crosscut Trail, then loop back to Saguaro Day Use lot. This is more of an “amble” than a hike as we let the birds come to us. Bring binoculars, water and wear sturdy trail shoes. No dogs, please. Led by volunteer “Birder Babs.”
