Homolovi State Park no longer accepts self-pay registrations for camping. Same-day reservations can be made by coming to the visitor center in person or by calling the park office at 928-289-4106 by 4:45 p.m. Entries for non-registered campers will not be accepted after that time.

Petroglyph Tour at Homolovi
Homolovi State Park

Join a park ranger on a hike to discover Homolovi's petroglyphs. This will require participants to have their own vehicle. Please be prepared for weather and bring plenty of water as the tour will last approximately two hours. There will be about 1.75 miles of walking on uneven terrain. No dogs allowed on this hike. Regular day use fee ($7) required.

Sunset Cemetery Hike at Homolovi
Join a Park Ranger on a hike to the last remnants of the settlement of Sunset. Sunset was established by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1876. The ranger will present about the history of LDS settlement of the middle Little Colorado River Valley. The trail is .8 miles round trip on an old dirt road.

Homolovi IV Pueblo Guided Tour
Join a Ranger for a tour of one the park's archaeological sites that is normally closed to the public. Registration is required for this event. This pueblo consisted of approximately 200 stone masonry rooms built in a stepwise fashion down the sides of a small butte on the west bank of the Little Colorado River. It was occupied for a short time in the mid 1200s.

Join Park Ranger and Hopi Potter Gwen Setalla for a discussion of methods and techniques of traditional Hopi pottery. She will explain how traditional pottery is made and talk about how to recognize authentic made pottery.
