Stage 2 fire restrictions are in effect; wood and charcoal fires are prohibited. Gas/propane stoves are permitted for cooking only. Smoking is prohibited in the park except within an enclosed vehicle.
Quail restroom will be closed June 23-June 27. Cabin restrooms will be closed June 30-July 8. Portable restrooms will be provided. Alternate restrooms with showers will be available at other campgrounds in the park.
Owl Day Use restroom is undergoing construction improvements and is temporarily unavailable.
Sunday Guided Hikes
Dead Horse Ranch State Park
Sundays 8 a.m.
Join us for a guided hike every Sunday morning! We will meet at the first lagoon parking lot at (unless otherwise noted at the entrance station). Hikes will vary each week to explore the different areas of the park. Hikes will be easy to moderate and last approximately an hour- two hours long. Please bring appropriate footwear and water.
Park entrance fee does apply, but there is no additional cost for the hike.
