Monsoon season is a powerful weather pattern that transforms the Sonoran Desert. Intense thunderstorms relieve the hot desert where plants and animals quickly react to the rain for their survival. In the first hour of Monsoon Magic, you’ll learn monsoon meteorology and see real animals from our Nature Program that thrive with the rain. Next, we’ll head out on the trail for an hour to see how the park has changed with the season.

Program is fee but standard park entry fees apply or bring your Arizona State Parks annual pass. Meet at the Trailhead Picnic Area.
