Monarch butterflies are rarely seen here at the Arboretum. October to November are the months with most frequent sightings. Few Arizonans know as much about Danaus plexippus as Gail Morris. Join her for this leisurely, slow-paced guided tour along paths that are wheelchair-accessible, exploring our Hummingbird-Butterfly Garden, Demonstration Garden and Children's Garden collections. Gail's also an evangelist for Asclepias (milkweeds). Expect her to point out these butterfly-friendly plants in BTA gardens, offering advice about how you can plant them in your yard too, as a way you can personally help bolster the dwindling species.

$12.50 daily admission includes this event.
