Projected On-Site Volunteer Openings

On-Site OpeningsThe following tables show projected on-site position availability at select parks. All interested volunteers should read the information on the On-Site Support Team page, and read the specific volunteer page for the park you are interested in. The park's Volunteer page describes details about the park and the positions' specific job duties. Since we receive many more requests for positions than we have available, this is a very competitive process.

Background Check Policy

In an effort to ensure that volunteers living on Arizona State Parks (ASP) property and thus having access to camping areas and office/secure areas at all hours of the day and night present no unnecessary risk to the health and safety of minors, nor present any risk to state property, Arizona State Parks (ASP) has adopted policies relative to the detection of persons involved in criminal offenses that could pose a risk to ASP staff, volunteers, visitors and property.

Volunteers who are working under the Volunteer Housing Policy and who will be living on-park for more than 2 weeks will be required to consent to a background check. The cost of the check will be the volunteer’s responsibility. The cost is currently $18.50 per person. Due to Arizona State Statute limitations, ARS 41-1750(G) the Background Check will not include a fingerprint clearance card, but will include the following: Social Security Verification, Address Verification, Local Criminal Record Search. National Criminal Record Search, National Sex Offender Registry Search.
