What is an Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV)?An OHV is just about any motor vehicle which is able to be operated off of paved or maintained roads, including a pickup truck, sport utility vehicle (SUV), four-wheel drive vehicle, all-terrain vehicle (ATV), dirtbike, dune buggy, sand rail or snowmobile. Off-Highway Vehicles may be used to access a particular destination – such as a remote campground – or be used as the essential part of the recreation experience, such dirt biking.
