Great Backyard Bird Count at Oracle
Oracle State Park
February 14-17, 2025 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual community science project by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon Society to collect data on wild birds. Grab Oracle State Park's bird list at the Visitor Center and take a self-guided hike to contribute to the Great Backyard Bird Count. All levels of birders welcome. Bring your own bird field guide or purchase one at our park gift shop.
Pro tip! Download the eBird Mobile app or the Merlin Bird ID app prior to the event. Birds identified and logged with these apps are automatically added to the Great Backyard Bird Count.
There is no cost for this program but standard park entry fees apply. Event is weather permitting.
