First Saturday Hike - Photography Hike at Oracle State Park

Join us for a hands-on photography experience at Oracle State Park, perfect for nature enthusiasts and aspiring photographers! This guided event with Ranger Michael will teach you how to use your camera's manual settings, including aperture, shutter speed, and more, all while connecting with the scenic beauty of the park's landscapes and wildlife.
Event Schedule:
7–7:30 a.m. - Photography Introduction
Start your morning with a short photography lesson under a sheltered ramada at our Group Use Area. Learn essential settings and techniques to capture stunning landscape and nature photos.
7:30–9 a.m. - Photography Hike
Experience the roughly one-mile Bellota Trail for a guided photography hike. Practice your skills as we make stops along the trail to capture the park's beauty.
Event Details:
- The hike includes sandy areas, rocky paths, and elevation changes.
- This event is ideal for beginners learning manual camera settings, though experienced photographers and smartphone users are welcome.
- Please bring sturdy hiking shoes, your camera, and plenty of water.
