First Saturday Hike at Oracle State Park - A Dialogue with Nature
Oracle State Park
Saturday, April 5, 2025 9 a.m.
Come out for our First Saturday Hike on April 5th with creativity on your mind. This two-mile hike will have 4 to 5 stops with prompts for nature journaling while utilizing some of our senses. Throughout the hike we will deepen our connection with the natural world around us and spark our creativity. Please bring with you something to write on such as a notebook, journal, or paper/clipboard, along with something to write with like a pencil or pen. Before arrival please have plenty of water, sunscreen, hat, and closed-toed shoes. We will hike roughly 2 miles on the Granite Overlook Trail with some steep elevation changes up to the highest point in the park at 4600' in elevation, and will be met with loose gravel, rocks, and steps along the way.
This hike is free to those who have paid the day use fee or have an annual state parks pass. Please meet at the Oak Woodland parking lot by 9 a.m.
