Region 3 Trails (Northwest Arizona)
Cherry Route
Take a scenic trip through historic Jerome as you hit the trail just off of I-17. This ride offers beautiful views over Clarkdale, Cottonwood and Cornville. Far in the distance you can even catch a glimpse of the breathtaking Sedona red rocks. If you time your ride right, you can grab a fun bite at the Haunted Hamburger in Jerome before heading back to the staging area.
GWT Mingus Mountain
Camp Verde - Mingus Mountain
26 miles
Once through the lowland section of the trail, it climbs quickly up into the forest and onto Mingus Mountain. Views are impressive along the mountainside. Please obey all signs, including at Copper Chief Mine, which is closed to the public. Camping is available, and the roads are open to unlicensed vehicles. This trail is not recommended in winter.
