Construction at Homolovi State Park will be underway from June through September 2025. We apologize for the inconvenience and construction-related noise that may take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. During periods of construction on restrooms and shower buildings, portable toilets and showers will be provided. Thank you for your patience as we work to make Homolovi State Park an even better destination for campers!

 

Homolovi State Park no longer accepts self-pay registrations for camping. Same-day reservations can be made by coming to the visitor center in person or by calling the park office at 928-289-4106 by 4:45 p.m. Entries for non-registered campers will not be accepted after that time.

Note: Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time.

Petroglyph Tour

Homolovi State Park

October 11 | November 1, 2025   9-11 a.m.

Join a Park Ranger on a hike to discover Homolovi's petroglyphs. Meet at the park visitor center. This will require participants to have their own vehicle. Please be prepared for the weather and bring plenty of water as the tour will last approximately two hours. There will be about 1.75 miles of walking on uneven terrain. No dogs will be allowed on this hike. Day use fee required.

    Star Party and Guest Speaker at Homolovi State Park

    Come out to Homolovi's Visitor Center Museum and Observatory for a night under the stars. Enjoy astronomy presentations featuring special guests with telescope viewing to follow. Bring your sense of wonder!

  • Oct. 4,12, 25 | Nov. 2 and 8, 2025

    Homolovi IV Pueblo Guided Tour

    Join a Ranger for a tour of one the park's archaeological sites that is normally closed to the public. Registration is required for this event. This pueblo consisted of approximately 200 stone masonry rooms built in a stepwise fashion down the sides of a small butte on the west bank of the Little Colorado River.  It was occupied for a short time in the mid 1200s.
