Intro to Photography Workshop

Want to learn more about outdoor photography and become more confident in your skills?! Well, join the rangers at Red Rock State Park for an Introduction to Photography Workshop where topics such as composition, lighting, the mysterious exposure triangle, and even phone photography will be covered. Afterwards you will get a chance to practice what you learned on a guided hike with the beautiful Sedona landscape as your backdrop. It is a BYOC, which means BRING YOUR OWN CAMERA. You are heavily encouraged to also bring a water bottle, some snacks, and closed-toed shoes for the hike. The program will last 1.5-2 hours so make sure to come prepared. Come and hear the fascinating story of the pre-Columbian people who lived and traveled in the park. The hike will identify the various archaeological features visible from park trails and interpret them into the wider context of important regional Sinagua sites. The guide will also touch on ideas of other cultures that likely have made use of the park’s resources. Reservations are required.
