Flash Fright Night Tours - Open Call!
Jerome State Historic Park
August 3 - October 12, 2026
Flash Fright Night is our Annual Historic Event that occurs at night in October. There are many roles to fill - be a ghost of someone from Jerome's past or be a guide to help our attendees find their way about a dark mansion route that takes them through several historic scenes.
Sign up early to get your volunteer spot on the roster as a wandering ghost or first dibs for a role in one of the scenes. This doesn't take talent but takes imagination and willingness to use costume and historic facts to entertain our guests. We will also need help with set-up and break down of props on the day before, the day of and day after.
Costume help is available.

There goes the Neighborhood: The Jerome mines and their impact on the Verde River
The presentation will include a brief history of the Verde River, the establishment of the mines at Jerome, the geology of the ores, and the social and environmental impacts of the smelters once they were located on the valley floor.
