The Inside History of Jerome

Jerome State Historic Park

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays   11 a.m.

An engaging and exclusive presentation of the town of Jerome, as told by long-time local, Henry Vincent, in an outdoor setting. Featuring an overview of the geology, United Verde Copper Co. and United Verde Extension mines, and the Douglas family.

    Join us for a lively and entertaining walk of the park grounds, featuring a brief overview of the town of Jerome, its mining operations, and its people.

    Arizona Geologic History Presentation

    The fascinating story of the geological creation of Arizona, circa 1.8 billion years ago.

  • Third Saturday of the month

    Cowboy Poetry

    Ken and Lyn Mikell play a wide range of traditional music, with particular attention to the Celtic roots of cowboy music. Using a wide range of musical instruments, Ken and Lyn animate and illuminate the music and poetry that followed the trail west. They have been making music together for over 30 years.
