Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum

Colorado River State Historic Park

Tuesday, February 24, 2026   11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

As part of Arizona’s statewide commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, the Arizona250 Mobile Museum will make a special one-day stop in Yuma County at the Colorado River State Historic Park.

Created by the Arizona 250 Commission, this traveling exhibit is making 30 stops throughout Arizona’s 15 counties. The exhibit blends the nation’s history with Arizona’s unique story. Designed to inspire civic pride and reflection, the mobile museum features immersive exhibit panels, a short video experience, and interactive activities for visitors of all ages.

One of the featured highlights is a replica of the Liberty Bell, one of only a limited number across the country, serving as a powerful symbol of freedom, independence, and civic responsibility. Guests are also invited to take part in the “Dear America, Love Arizona” postcard activity, sharing their own stories and reflections as part of this historic milestone.

Planned activities for the day include the singing of the National Anthem at 11:00 a.m. to officially open the exhibit, community and historical partner booths, live entertainment, potential guest speakers and historical presentations, a photo booth, 1800s period-dressed reenactors, and food available for purchase.

This FREE, family-friendly event offers a meaningful opportunity for the community to reflect, celebrate, and connect with American, Arizona, and Yuma history.
