Red Rock State Park
Saturday, March 29 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Come out and enjoy the dark skies at Red Rock State Park with the Astronomers of Verde Valley. The Star Party begins with an introductory presentation on the celestial happenings in the early March skies followed by star viewing through some high-powered telescopes.
With the Milky Way setting early in the west, the spring galaxies in the constellations of Leo and Ursa Major will be rising for our telescopes to view. Many galaxies and star clusters will illuminate our eyepieces from thousands to millions of light years away. Our closest neighbor planets for viewing will include Mars, Jupiter and Uranus.
A $16.00 registration fee is required per person. Registration will be accepted from Friday, February 28 through Friday, March 28. Reservations can be made in person at the park's Visitor Center or by calling (928) 282-6907. If registering over the phone, payment can be made with either Visa or MasterCard.
Light refreshments (cookies and drinks) will be available. This event is sponsored by Keep Sedona Beautiful.
