Grants Test SLIF

Apply for SLIF Grants

The State Lake Improvement Fund (SLIF) was established to provide funding for the enhancement of public waters and boating-related recreational facilities throughout Arizona. The program is financed through a dedicated portion of motor vehicle fuel taxes and fees collected from watercraft registrations, ensuring that boating and water recreation users directly support these improvements. Administered by the Arizona State Parks Board, SLIF grants are essential for projects that increase boating access, improve navigation, and promote safety on Arizona's waterways. This fund helps maintain and upgrade critical infrastructure like boat ramps, docks, and parking, while also supporting law enforcement and boater education.

  • Available Funds: $1,500,000
  • Eligible Applicants: State, county, and local governments (cities, towns, districts), and Native American Tribes.
  • Eligible Projects: Boating access (ramps, docks, parking), navigation aids, boating safety/education, and law enforcement.
