Grants Test OHV
Off Highway Vehicle Fund
The Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Fund was created by the Arizona State Legislature to promote responsible OHV recreation and manage its impacts. The fund is financed primarily through the sale of the OHV Decal, which is required for all off-highway vehicles operating in the state, as well as a portion of state motor fuel taxes. This user-funded program invests directly back into the OHV community by providing grants for trail maintenance, facility construction, and stewardship projects. It also plays a critical role in public safety by funding law enforcement patrols in popular recreation areas and supporting information and education programs that promote safe and ethical OHV use.
- Available Funds: $4,000,000
- Eligible Applicants: Federal, state, county, and local governments, and non-profit organizations.
- Eligible Projects: OHV law enforcement, trail construction/maintenance, trail facilities, and I&E (information & education).
