New brew launching March 2026 to celebrate Lake Havasu State Park

February 24, 2026

Arizona State Parks and Trails has partnered with Flagstaff's Historic Brewing Company and Lake Havasu City's College Street Brewhouse to create the Windsor Beach Blonde ale, a new craft beer celebrating Lake Havasu State Park's scenic beauty and outdoor recreation opportunities. The beer launches in March 2026, with 10% of sales supporting Arizona's 33 state parks.

The Windsor Beach Blonde will be available in 12-ounce cans sold in six-packs at distribution points throughout Arizona, as well as on draft at College Street Brewhouse in Lake Havasu City and Historic Brewing Barrel House and Taproom locations in Flagstaff and Williams.

"Lake Havasu State Park is widely known as a great destination for visitors, but it's also a tremendous asset to the local community, providing economic support through tourism and keeping 900 acres along the lake clean, safe, and maintained," said Dan Roddy, western region manager of Arizona State Parks and Trails. "As a self-sustaining agency that relies on park fees to fund our operations, we're grateful to have the community's support and it will be fun to celebrate the park with this collaborative project."

The Windsor Beach Blonde will be a blonde ale with a smooth and light flavor profile, created for enjoyment on warm days by the lake.

"This is our fourth collaboration with Arizona State Parks and Trails. With each brew, we learn a little bit more about how we can maximize our impact, so we think this will be our best state parks brew yet," said John Kennelly, owner of Historic Brewing Company. "We're excited to bring this project to the west side of the state and proud to team up with College Street Brewhouse, who is already doing so much in the community."

Lake Havasu State Park will host a free tasting event on March 28, beginning with a volunteer shoreline cleanup at 11 a.m. and concluding with a tasting on the north beach from 2 to 5 p.m. Attendees can sample the Windsor Beach Blonde while enjoying raffles, musical entertainment, and food available for purchase. Event details and volunteer registration for the shoreline cleanup are available at AZStateParks.com/Brew.

"We're glad to be a partner in this collaboration. We've grown in size and distribution, so it's great to be able to do a hometown project and to work with Historic Brewing Company again," said Jason Helart, director of operations at College Street Brewhouse. "We've teamed up in the past to brew a Cherry Vanilla Wheat beer, and it's even better to support a local cause."

The Windsor Beach Blonde is the fourth state park brew made in partnership with Historic Brewing Company. The campaign aims to engage local communities with Arizona's state parks, the outdoors, and Arizona history. Previous releases include a Mexican lager featuring Oracle State Park and the historic Kannally Ranch House (fall 2024), the Slide Rock Blonde Coffee Stout celebrating the Sedona state park and historic Pendley homestead (spring 2025), and the Rockin' River Ranch Rye IPA featuring Arizona's newest state park (September 2025).
