Arizona State Parks and Trails offers free day-use park fees for veterans on November 11

November 6, 2025

PHOENIX – Arizona State Parks and Trails is proud to honor Veterans Day with admission-waived day use for U.S. veterans, active duty military, and National Guard members on November 11. Veterans and service members can take advantage of this offer by presenting military identification on park entry.

"We're grateful to our nation's veterans who have defended this beautiful country. You've given to us all, and we're so happy to be able to waive our park fees to give back in our small way," said Bob Broscheid, executive director of Arizona State Parks and Trails. "Spending time in nature is good for our physical and mental health. Many would say it's good for the soul. If there's anyone who deserves a rejuvenating or restful day in the park, it's our veterans and service members. Thank you for your service."

Free entry for veterans and service members on Veterans Day includes up to three adults with the veteran. It does not include tours at Kartchner Caverns State Park and Riordan Mansion State Historic Park, camping, or other fee-based programs.

Year-round, Arizona State Parks and Trails provides a discount program for veterans, service members, and up to three accompanied adults. All active duty, reserves, and National Guard receive 50% off day-use entrance fees. U.S. military retired and service-connected disabled veterans also receive 50% off day-use entry, and 100% service-connected disabled veterans receive free park entry year-round.
