Spooky Stories from the Cochise County Courthouse with Francine Powers
Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park
Saturday, November 1, 2025 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Join us Halloween weekend for chilling tales from history as presented by author and historian Francine Powers with re-tellings of one of our highest-attended Helldorado author series events.
The Bisbee Massacre (11 a.m.) will bring to life the story of the six men that died for their role in one of Cochise County’s bloodiest events including their trials held in our courtroom.
Haunted Cochise County Courthouses (1 p.m.) is sure to send shivers down your spine with Francine’s collection of spirit and specter encounter stories from our Victorian-era courthouse and the current Art Deco courthouse in Bisbee. This presentation includes some of Francine’s own lived experiences.
This event is free with day use admission. Your museum admission includes both presentations. Additionally, Francine Powers will have books for sale and signing along with Q&A time after the presentations.
Please note that this event takes place in the second floor courtroom, which is staircase access only. We anticipate that construction will still be underway at this time and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
