60th Anniversary: A Living History Tribute to the Douglas Family

Join Jerome State Historic Park to celebrate its 60th anniversary! Activities and exhibits specially offered for the day will honor the park as a living history tribute to the Douglas family. All demonstrations, crafts, and programs for this anniversary event will be included with paid park admission.

- Mucking (the mining process of removing broken rock, ore, and waste material from an excavation site)
- Real locomotive whistle
- Drilling
- Mine lighting
- Stamp mill (mechanical crusher to pulverize rock)
- Model railroad
- Blacksmith
- Mini race cars
- Smoky Joe (a 1929 Ford Model A)
