Arizona State Parks

Tubac Presidio State Historic Park and the Friends of Tubac Presidio have received the Award of Excellence from the American Association of State and Local History for the “World at Your Table” permanent exhibit at the park.  The AASLH Leadership in History Awards, now in its 80th year, is the most prestigious recognition for achievement in the preservation and interpretation of state and local history. 

Arizona State Parks and Trails has completed Phase 1 construction on a new off-highway vehicle trailhead and staging area between Buckskin Mountain and River Island state parks. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for June 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. 

June is Great Outdoors Month, and Arizona has so many amazing ways to get you started on your next outdoor adventure! Check out the parks in the northern part of the state, where the weather is cooler, or hit the lake and river parks to cool off in the water. Whatever you choose, this is the month to make some memories.
