Water Harvesting Workshop

Water harvesting is the process of capturing rainwater and other gently used water for landscape plants and trees. Come learn this ancient practice from Charlene Westgate, a permaculture landscape designer, and save water, time, and money! $10 fee includes admission to tour the Presidio. The children’s garden by the schoolhouse allows children of all ages to play hopscotch, marbles, and jump-rope the old-fashioned way.

Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration
Join us for an Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration, on Wednesday, July 4, 10 a.m. – Noon. Free hot dogs, nachos, watermelon and lemonade, and an assortment of activities for kids including hula hoops, bean bag and ball toss, coin guess, adobe brick making and face painting. Park admission is FREE during the event!
