Guided Tour of the Barrio de Tubac Archaeological Site
Tubac Presidio State Historic Park
March 11 and 22, 2018 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Phil Halpenny and Gwen Griffin host a special tour of the Spanish colonial archaeological site just south of the Park. This site preserves the remains of the original Tubac town, including residence foundations, plaza area, refuse area and partial irrigation ditch. After meeting at the park visitor center, the tour will consist of a 1.25 mile walk. The Archeological Conservancy protects this site and participants are asked to sign 'An Acknowledgement of Risk Factors' form before entering. Walking shoes, sunscreen and hat are recommended. $10 fee includes all day admission to tour the Presidio Park. Reservations encouraged, 520-398-2252 or [email protected].
