Sedona Bamboo Flute Performance with Jesse Kalu

Red Rock State Park

Sunday, July 7, 2019   2 p.m.

Jesse’s intimate performance will take place in the Red Rock State Park theater and will last approximately one hour, including a question and answer session at the conclusion of the music performance. This heartfelt presentation includes a unique mixture of bamboo flutes, poetry, story, and nature voices. Jesse’s presentations touch his audiences in unique ways. Each of his flutes has its own name and song. Emanating through his handcrafted flutes are the wildlife calls of doves, quails, loons, hawks, owls, seagulls, dolphins, whales, coyotes, wolf, elk, and more. Jesse Kalu has been sharing his music throughout the world since 1994.

Jesse performs regularly in the Sedona area. He utilizes a wide variety of bamboo flutes sweeping from the soprano to bass ranges, all made by his own hand. Many who hear his music praise his ability to imbue his creations with the deep connecting spirit of the natural world.
